The international foundation Balkan Net (BN) and the National Association of Municipal Clerks of Bulgaria (NAMCB), supported by the Council of Europe organize the three workshops within the project LEADERSHIP ACADEMY, 2012. The first of the three workshops from the project will takes place from April 01-04, 2012 in Ohrid, Macedonia and the other two workshops will be conducted in Bulgaria in the course of the year 2012.
Project’s main target group are municipalities from Bulgaria and Macedonia and their representatives, such as majors and representatives from different sectors of the local governments, such as municipal local development specialists and managers, public relation officers etc. Associations and also NGO’s working closely with municipalities can also benefit from this project.

The Konrad Adenauer Stiftung, Macedonia and the International Foundation Balkan Net in cooperation with the Bulgarian Association of Municipal Clerks organized the conference on topic “Prevention Measures against Corruption – challenges and possibilities for Macedonia and Bulgaria”, which took place on 27th of October 2011 at the Continental Hotel in Skopje beginning at 10:00 a.m.

Study trip to Germany and Austria
Between 24 - 29 August, 2011 on behalf of ADKOM, Macedonian association of public communal enterprises organised a study trip to Germany and Austria. Among other, companies that produce and sell new and used communal vehicles shall be visited. Target group were managers and decision makers from public communal enterprises in Macedonia and Serbia. 32 managers from public communal enterprises and from the municipalities participated in the project.
Training of Trainers on Food Safety
From 16 - 19, September 2011 on behalf of the Deutsche Gesellschaft für internationale Zusammenarbeit (GIZ), Balkan Net organized the international event Training of Trainers on Food Safety. 26 participants form Macedonia, Kosovo, Albania and Bulgaria participated on this event.
